Main equipment of LNG plant

No matter what kind of liquefaction process is used to build an LNG plant, the composition of equipment and equipment remains the same. Taking full liquefaction as an example, the equipment required is roughly as follows:

1.How does a LNG gas plant work?
A liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant works by converting natural gas into its liquid form for storage and transportation. The process typically involves several stages, including:

Feed gas treatment: Natural gas is typically transported via pipeline to the LNG plant, where it undergoes processing to remove impurities such as sulfur, water, and carbon dioxide.

Pre-treatment: The treated natural gas is then cooled to remove any remaining water and impurities before being compressed to a high pressure.

Liquefaction: The compressed gas is then cooled to very low temperatures (-162°C/-260°F) in a heat exchanger until it becomes a liquid, which is then stored in cryogenic tanks.

Storage: The LNG is stored in insulated tanks at very low temperatures, which are maintained using specialized refrigeration systems.

Regasification: When the LNG is ready to be used, it is transported to a regasification plant where it is warmed up to its gaseous form through a process called vaporization. The gas is then pressurized to the required level for use.
